A Good Maths Start

This is a foundation level which develops a sense of understanding of mathematical concepts.  Practical problem solving activities and technology.  It encourages children to clarify their thinking and record their work.  Your child develops number sense by counting, grouping and modelling.  They will sort, compare and contrast shapes, length and sizes.  Measuring a variety of objects and distances, they will make connections and transfer knowledge in different contexts. 

Why your child will love it.  They will get to do the usual fun stuff like playing bingo, dice and domino’s with their friends, putting colourful objects together and pulling them apart.
